Currently the world’s largest and publicly accessible fresh food traceability solutions provider, TE-FOOD, has joined the TERRA Food and AgTech Accelerator Program. The program which aims at pioneering innovations in farm management, waste reduction, food traceability and transparency solutions, as well as food safety amongst others, will engage TE-FOOD and other innovative startups in pilot projects, all geared towards groundbreaking transformation in the Food & Agricultural industry.

TERRA was founded in 2016 to solve some of the problems in the food industry by facilitating discussions and collaborations between industry experts, decision makers, and innovators across the value chain. In less than 2 years, and in just 2 cohort programs, the company's history includes the launching 31 pilot projects, representation by 25 countries, 11 corporate collaborators with over $100 billion in annual revenue, and 9 emerging growth companies.

This cohort that involves TE-FOOD is the third of its kind, which allows Food and AgTech startups to apply. The TERRA team has revealed that 160 applicants were shortlisted for only 17 spots. Interestingly, German-based TE-FOOD scaled through stiff screening processes.

Details of the pilot program which TE-FOOD takes part is yet to be made public. However, considering the top partners like AgroFresh, Nestle USA, GrainCorp, Beta San Miguel, and many others, for this particular program, it is expected that interesting will be going on behind the scenes.
