Popular enterprise blockchain, VeChain has announced its partnership with Grant Thornton Cyprus. Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading independent accounting and consulting firms. Both companies will be working together to explore how clients of Grant Thornton can utilize VeChain’s advanced blockchain solutions in a variety of industries. Possible sectors for implementation include the food industry, pharmaceuticals, the automotive industry, logistics, e-commerce, and the supply chain.

In September 2018, Grant Thornton launched its blockchain services line and has since expanded its operations to over 135 countries. According to the company’s website, it already offers blockchain-based solutions in the entertainment, health, and education sectors, amongst others.

Grant Thornton’s partnership with VeChain will open the doors to thousands of companies who want to explore new blockchain-based solutions.

Speaking on the partnership, Sunny Lu, Co-founder and CEO at VeChain stressed the urgent need to accelerate digitalization. He said:

Alexis Nicolaou, Director of Blockchain at Grant Thornton Cyprus, also noted that blockchain tech in Cyprus will imminently receive government backing. To this effect, the company is investing in partnerships to be able to service the needs of its local and international clients.
