VeChain has announced a tripartite partnership with business assurance firm DNV GL and consumer electronics giant, Haier. Following the “Global Release of the Achievements of COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Eco Brand Platform” event on April 1, the three businesses revealed their intentions to collaborate in integrating VeChainThor’s traceability solution into Haier’s IoC – Internet of Clothing. Thereby making VeChainThor Blockchain the core technology of the COSMOPlat platform.

COSMOPlat is the ecological backbone of Haier, operating as an open industrial internet platform with independent intellectual property rights making it the first ever platform for third parties to participate in the entire industrial process.

The partnership will facilitate the deployment of “My Story” into the clothing industry. The initial phase of the partnership will seek use cases of blockchain in the lifecycle of clothing and clothing management. Upcoming implementations will focus on smart shopping, smart inventory management and tracking.

My Story illuminates products and their supply chain for the benefit of consumers, who will have instant and in-depth access to key products characteristics such as quality, authenticity, origin, ingredients, water and energy consumption and more, all verified by DNV GL along the entire transformation process.

In the tripartite partnership, Haier will coordinate user resources and facilitate the deployment of My Story in the clothing line, while integrating the carbon reduction model of DCE. DNV GL provides verification and consulting services to VeChain and Haier on business models and process control. VeChain on the other end will handle all the technicalities of blockchain, providing support and consulting services to Haier.
