New Listing Update: The VeChain (VET) wallet is open and trading will begin shortly on [Bittrex International]
Although it is still unclear if the price of VET is reacting to its listing on Bittrex International, it is worth stating that the value of VET has been slowly increasing in the last 3 days. As at press time, the price of 1 VET was $0.003851.
Whilst the VeChain community is excited about the listing, there is a clamor for listing on a US exchange. So far, neither Bittrex (the US arm of the exchange), Binance US, or Coinbase has listed VeChain. A tweeter user, The Mighty Thor commenting on the listing, said:
Hope we get some US exchanges but this is still awesome.
A redditor gave his opinion with regards to the current bottleneck in listing VeChain on a US exchange. He said:
Unpopular opinion: it means that Bittrex thinks that VET could be considered a security in the United States under the Howey test. Hopefully Congress or the courts will eventually give some clarity on what makes a token a security.
