The just-concluded VeChain Summit 2019 has been loaded with a lot of exciting news from the enterprise-focused blockchain. The VeChain Foundation came fully prepared for its first summit hosted on April 18 at San Francisco. The event featured representatives from BMW, Microsoft Azure, Safe Haven, PLAIR, Ocean Ex, Draper Venture Network, Deloitte and DNV.GL, amongst others.

This year the summit is specifically crafted to bring developers, academic professionals, startups, business decision makers and venture capitalists together to collaborate, partner, and build solutions that create valuable transactions on the VeChainThor Blockchain.

One of the exciting news from VeChain is the launch of its ToolChain – a digital briefcase that will simplify the process of authenticating goods.

Deloitte has migrated DNVGL from the Ethereum to the VeChain blockchain, while the Global CTO of Deloitte Blockchain has joined VeChain’s advisory board.

As part of this journey, we had a solution on Ethereum, and as I have given you a brief background to the why, we chose VeChain and migrated to the VeChainThor Blockchain platform - Deloitte.

New Board Members

Other new members of the advisory board include Masanari Koike, a former House of Reps member in Japan and Sergio Mottola, Chairman, CEO and Director of the Scientific Committee of San Marino Innovation.


Car manufacturing giants, BMW confirmed that they are using VeChain’s tech to build VerifyCar – a system that stores every interaction of a car on blockchain.

United Nations Development Programme

Rounding up the event, the CEO of VeChain, Sunny Lu confirmed a partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Carbon Credits.

Following the number of new members joining the advisory team and possible use cases for VeChainThor, there is no doubt that VeChain is a project to watch out for.
