Vechain Receives Global Scaling Award from DraperGragon and Delta
Vechain in a tweet announced that they were given an award for global scaling. The tweet reads:
VeChain General Counsel, Scott Brisbin, accepts the 'Global Scaling Award' from DraperDragon and Delta. ‘You have to scale to become a fabulous unicorn. This company has scaled extraordinarily globally going from nothing to one of the great companies of the world.'
Details of the metrics used in choosing Vechain as the recipients of the award was however not given.
DraperDragon was established in 2006 as a venture capitalist firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) DragonFund. The business was a joint venture between DFJ and DragonVenture (a company that spearheaded venture capital in China in the late 90s). The joint venture became known as DraperDragon in 2016, as part of rebranding efforts.
According to their website, DraperDragon is constantly in search of “companies with innovative technologies and business models with market appeal in Silicon Valley and in China. With our unique depth of experience and knowledge, our team can add value and resources in a broad manner.”
The company currently has affiliations with 10 blockchain projects including Vechain, Ledger, QuarkChain, Penta, and Aelf, 6 healthcare brands, and 9 enterprise digital brands, amongst others.
Delta is one of the world’s largest global airlines, handling over 180 million passenger flights every year. According to the 2018 World Airline Awards, Delta ranks 37th on the “world's Best 100 Airlines for 2018 voted for by airline customers around the world.”
